Surprise, b*tch! They're back -- "with a vengeance."

So promises "The Return Preview" for "American Horror Story: Apocalypse." This is the first promo to show actual footage from Season 8, aka the long-awaited crossover of "Murder House" Season 1 and "Coven" Season 3.

It's amazing.

The preview shows so many of our returning favorites -- Jessica Lange! Joan Collins (playing Evan Peters' grandmother) through some kind of traumatic plane crash.

Is it the end of the world? The title would suggest so. And a quote in the trailer says so. Plus Madison is back, so ... if hell hasn't frozen over, it's close.

"American Horror Story" Season 8 premieres Wednesday, September 12 at 10 PM ET/PT on FX.
